The Race

A Bucket List Race in a World Class Destination

Whistler X Tri (formerly known as XTERRA Whistler) is an off-road triathlon held in the heart of Whistler, BC. A pristine lake swim in Lost Lake, globally renowned MTB singletrack, and trail running through fall's spectacular colours — all in a mountain resort town that has something for the whole family.

This is not your average triathlon. The trails are real, the climbs are honest, and the finish line feeling is something you'll be chasing for years.

What Athletes Say

Real People.
Real Stories.

From first-timers who came to volunteer and ended up signing up, to families making it an annual tradition — this is what Whistler X Tri means to people.

I've been really enjoying volunteering for the X Tri the last two years. I enjoyed it so much I finally decided I will sign up for the sprint — and I won my category!

What a fantastic day for the kids! The finish line cuteness cued all the "awws" — we're ready to make it a family affair next year.

Kids & Youth · Saturday Sept 19

The Next Generation of Athletes

Saturday September 19 is all about the kids. Age-appropriate swim, bike, and run distances for ages 5–15 mean every child gets a real race experience — and a real finish line moment.

Finisher medals. A podium. The kind of confidence that comes from doing something hard. This is where it starts.
